About the Role
Our progressive public school district in Toronto is actively seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers to support our commitment to inclusive education. This role involves working with students across various age groups and disability categories, developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and collaborating with general education teachers, parents, and support staff. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Provide direct specialized instruction to students in pull-out and inclusion settings.

- Conduct formal and informal assessments to track student progress and inform instruction.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student goals and achievements.

Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education.
- Valid Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification with qualifications in Special Education.
- Demonstrated experience working with students with a range of special needs (e.g., learning disabilities, autism, ADHD).
- Knowledge of current special education legislation and best practices.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
